British teachers find lifestyles more attractive in exotic locations

In the UK, teacher numbers have fallen, with official statistics showing a sharp decline of almost 20,000 teachers between 2010 and 2017. Targets set by the UK government have been missed for five successive years as a result of less students choosing teaching or the inability to keep teachers in the profession.
